LadGov is Hiring a Supply Technician Near Springfield, VA

Location: Springfield, VA

Worksite: on-site

Position: Full-time

Schedule: Mon - Fri

Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Duties/Requirements:

 The Supply Technician Shall:

  • have experience in receiving supplies and equipment from a variety of sources.
  • follow a few specific procedures in completing repetitive clerical steps, such as verifying shipments against purchase orders, verifying serial numbers, quantities, affixing DEA Property Stickers, and performing simple posting of items to a computerized inventory.
  • verify that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents; ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles, and preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g., manifests, bills of lading.
  • verify the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records, checking for damaged goods, insuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment, and preparing and keeping records of goods received.
  • Perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods of the establishment in which employed and receiving incoming shipments.
  • Have Knowledge and experience using the latest version of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite Software packages.
  • be physically capable of performing work assigned, which includes lifting boxes weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds. Must be able to walk, stand, and sit for long periods of time daily.
  • Be required to use a CMTS device.

Experience:

Have three years of specialized experience in operating an on-line workstation, supply Inventory Management System.

Education/Certification:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Shall be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Requirement:  Sensitive but Unclassified level security clearance.
